When off-the-shelf stops fitting

Off-the-shelf software is the right start for most businesses: it is quick to set up and someone else maintains it. It stops fitting when you find yourself bending the way you work to suit the tool, juggling spreadsheets alongside it, paying for features you never use, or waiting on a vendor's roadmap for the one thing you actually need.

Custom software development makes sense when a process is central to how you win customers or run operations, when several tools need to behave like one, or when the experience you want to offer simply is not available in a template. It is an investment, so we will tell you honestly when a subscription would serve you better.

It does not have to be all or nothing either. Often the best answer keeps proven tools for payments, email or accounting and builds only the part that makes the business different, connected to the rest so it all works as one system.

A modern, proven stack

We build on tools with large communities and long futures: React and Next.js with TypeScript on the front end, Node.js or Python on the server, and PostgreSQL, often through Supabase, for data. Interfaces are built from accessible components and Tailwind CSS, so they stay consistent as the product grows and new screens are added.

Performance is designed in, not bolted on. Pages load fast on mobile networks and search engines can read them, which matters as much for a booking system's public pages as for a store. The Global Vertex Solutions website we rebuilt scores 100 in Lighthouse for performance, accessibility and SEO.

Designed with the people who use it

We design with the people who will use the system every day, not just the people who commission it. Short interviews and early prototypes surface the details that make software pleasant to use (the field that should fill itself in, the report someone prints every Monday) long before launch, when they are cheap to get right.

Accessibility is part of the same care: interfaces work with a keyboard and a screen reader, keep readable contrast and hold up at every screen size, from a phone at the counter to a wide monitor in the back office.

You own the code and the data

Everything we build is yours: the source code, the database and the accounts it runs on. There is no platform lock-in and no per-seat license. If you later want to take development in-house or work with another team, you can, and the documentation we hand over makes that practical rather than theoretical.

From discovery to launch

Every project follows the same four-step process. Discovery maps how the work really happens today. A blueprint fixes the scope, architecture and milestones. Implementation runs in short iterations, so you review working software as we go instead of waiting for a big reveal.
